Portable Data Projector Sony

The Sony portable data projector is available for use anywhere on campus.  It is lightweight and easy to connect to any computer.  This projector has two inputs, one for data and the other for video.  Any video source (camcorder, VCR, DVD player, etc.) can be connected to the projector for large, clear video projection.  Two built-in speakers offer adequate audio volume for most campus rooms.

How to use the data projector:

Connecting to a computer source

1. Connect the data cable (included with the projector) to the Input A port on the back of the data projector.

2.    Connect the opposite end of the data cable to the Monitor Out port of the computer.  

 

3.    Plug in the data projector power cord, and turn on the data projector using the main power switch and then turn on the lamp by pressing the on/off switch on the remote.


 

             

4.    Turn on the computer and monitor using the appropriate switches.
5.  To display computer data, press the input button once or twice until the projector displays the RGB mode.

6.Adjust the projected image.  The data projector has a zoom control, to increase the size of the projected image, turn the inside lens ring counter-clockwise.  To decrease the size of the image, turn the inside lens ring clockwise.

 

To focus the projected image, rotate the outside lens ring until a sharp picture is achieved.

7.    When finished, perform the proper shut down of the computer.  Press the On/off button on the remote control to turn off the lamp.  The fan will remain on until the lamp cools.
 
 

CAUTION

Do not unplug or press the main power switch until the fan stops.

Failure to wait can result in damage to the projector.

Connecting to a video source

A.    Connect video cable (RCA type) to the video input plug on the data projector.

B. Connect the audio cable (1/8" mini jack) to the audio input of the data projector.

C.    Connect the opposite end of the video and audio cables to the video and audio outputs of a video machine (VCR, DVD player, camcorder, etc.).

D.    Plug in the data projector power cord and the power cord for the video source.  Turn on the main power for the projector and the video source

E.    To display a video source, press the input button on the remote control once or twice until the projector displays the video mode.

F.  Adjust the projected image.  The data projector has a zoom control, to increase the size of the projected image, turn the inside lens ring counter-clockwise.  To decrease the size of the image, turn the inside lens ring clockwise.

G.    When finished, shut down the video equipment.  Press the On/Off button on the remote control to turn off the lamp.  The fan will remain on until the lamp cools.
