
Setting The Refresh Rate on Compaq Computers
If the projected computer image has horizontal static lines running through it, and the image on the monitor is fine, the refresh rate of the computer display must be adjusted.
1. To access the Control Panel. Click on the start menu, click on the Settings menu and then double click the Control Panel icon. The Control Panel window will appear.
2. Double click on the Display icon and the Display Properties window will appear. One of two types of interfaces are used at NCC, both are shown below.
If your computer uses a window with a Compaq tab (type A), press the Compaq tag to access the window shown below (otherwise, proceed to the Type B section).
Press the Settings.. button and the window below appears:
If your computer displays a window without a Compaq tab, (the type B window), click on the Settings tab.
Then click on the Advanced Properties button to access the Advanced Display Properties window.
Click on the arrow of the Refresh rate drop down box and select 75 Hz.
Click OK and the computer will adjust the refresh rate.

4. Click OK to close all open windows, then close the control panel window.
