Getting Articles from Other Libraries

If Oesterle Library doesn't have a print or full-text electronic copy of the article you're looking for, we can still get a copy of it for you from another library via interlibrary loan. Oesterle Library charges a copy fee of ten cents per page for articles delivered via interlibrary loan.

Follow the steps outlined below to have a copy of an article sent to you from another library via interlibrary loan.

Interlibrary Loan Request Form for Articles

Please note that Oesterle Library reserves the right to refuse to accept a copying order, if in its judgment, fulfillment of the order would involve violation of copyright law.

The copyright law of the United States (Title 17, United States Code) governs the making of photocopies or other reproductions of copyrighted material. Under certain conditions specified in the law, libraries and archives are authorized to furnish a photocopy or other reproduction. One of these specified conditions is that the photocopy or reproduction is not to be "used for any purpose other than private study, scholarship, or research." If a user makes a request for, or later uses, a photocopy or reproduction for purposes in excess of "fair use," that user may be liable for copyright infringement.

Agreement to Pay for Copies

You are responsible for paying for all photocopies received. The library will try to obtain photocopies costing $0.10 per page; however, the library supplying the material may charge more. Indicate below the maximum amount you are willing to pay.
